About Me

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. This is my passion.

My name is Joe H. Christian, Jr. I am 56 years old and I've been investing and trading stocks for over 30 years. Armed with an economics degree from Duke University, I began my career in 1979 as a stockbroker with a major wire house. Over the ensuing years, I worked with several firms prior to opening my own Registered Investment Advisor. I have learned firsthand what works and what does not.

For those of you old enough to remember, it is interesting to note how much has changed since 1979. At that time, Money magazine was only 7 years old. CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg Television, and the Internet did not exist. As a result, the investor had no choice but to call a stockbroker. We were, in essence, a necessary conduit to the world of investing. And we took full advantage of that position by charging exorbitant fees and commissions.

Fast forward to today and it's quite the opposite. Investment advice comes from everywhere, including banks, accountants, attorneys, and insurance salespeople. Seems like everyone these days is a “financial planner.” Total information overload. It’s hard to know who to listen to.

This site is the culmination of years of experience and is dedicated to simple solution to the complicated world of investing.
